Faroe: Location description
The map above shows Faroe island and its surroundings. The region is located in the south-eastern part of Skellige archipelago. On the island you will find a medium-sized village in which you can fix your equipment and complete few quests.
Additionally, you will find many interesting things scattered along the island, including treasure hunts, side quests and powerful enemies. You will also find here few diagrams required for creating witcher gear.
Faroe: Most important places
1. Harviken village
The largest settlement on the island. You will find here a blacksmith, an inn and a grindstone to strengthen your weapon. You will also visit this village while completing few quests.
5. Monsters' den
Defeat a group of harpies (level 13) before the entrance. Swim inside, after a while you will reach a large room with two statues. First go to the corridor on the left. On the left-hand side, you will find a chest, and inside diagrams for cat school mastercrafted shoes, armor, trousers and gauntlets.
Now focus on the statues. On the left and right from them you will find levers. Use them to set the statues so that they will look at each other. They should slightly shine after that. Now go to the left tunnel and place the statue in the right position (in line with the door to your direction). Do the same in the second, right end of the tunnel.
Once you place all four statues properly, a door will open. Enter it. Go to the large wall in the middle and use Aard sign on it. Behind it you will find a chest with few items relic-level items.
6. Trottheim village
The village is occupied by pirates. Once you walk to the main gate, the Flesh for sale side quest will start. Depending on your choice, you will clear the village of bandits or leave it be. No matter the decision you make, later in the game, once you revisit this place, the pirates will be hostile towards you. Once you defeat them, common folk will return to the village; however, there will be no merchants among them.

Faroe: Important information
You will find few cat school witcher gear diagrams on the island. To find it, go to two caves - (M19,3) and (M19,5). All diagrams you find there will be at mastercrafted level.
Don't forget to go to the north-western edge of the island and find the Place of Power. You will receive additional skill point and will temporary increase the strength of Yrden sign.
This is controlled in 2 ways. Firstly the filter on the map itself. If you set it to ALL then you're supposed to see undiscovered locations as question marks. There is also an option in the HUD configuration settings "Undiscovered POIs on Minimap".
Witcher 3 Locations. Notice Boards - often found around towns and cities, these boards offer bounties, quests, and general information about the area at large. Interacting with a notice board will also reveal nearby areas to show what they truly are.
The region is located in the south-eastern part of Skellige archipelago. On the island you will find a medium-sized village in which you can fix your equipment and complete few quests.
This time around, the world of the Witcher is brimming with life. The Witcher 3 has 200 unique communities — villages, cities, and camps — compared to just 5 in The Witcher 2.
Reading the note you find inside, you now have to search for a stash using your Witcher Senses. You will find it on the bottom level, near the arena, where Geralt will notice dragging marks on the floor. Interact with the torch on the wall there (don't just ignite it) to open the hidden door with the stash inside.
There's a hidden cave, with a nice sword in it, right after you beat the Cloud Giant in The Land of a Thousand Fables. A Will o' the wisp (a floating light) will give you a clue to its existence by flying in front of you, then turning away towards the cave entrance. Follow the wisp and climb down, to find the cave.
Several locations appear, including the free city of Novigrad, the Redanian city of Oxenfurt, the no man's land of Velen, the city of Vizima (former capital of the recently conquered Temeria), the Skellige islands (home to several Norse-Gaels Viking clans) and the witcher stronghold of Kaer Morhen.
The coordinates shown in the lower right as you move your mouse over a location are X-Y coordinates in game space, so you can teleport Geralt to a location you find on the map by using the console command XY() (for instance: XY(-210, 1125) ) You'll need god-mode on to use this, though.
Arenaria is present on the west side of Woesong Bridge in White Orchard during the tutorial. Players can always come back to this place and find it. By using fast travel or waiting for the day to pass and have it respawn, players can also farm the land to the east of the Sawmill.
Hammond will be based in the village of Trottheim, a small village on the island of Faroe. To get there, we advise fast-travelling to the Harviken checkpoint then grabbing Roach and riding to the village.
In The Witcher 3, players can come across two succubi. One is in Novigrad, while the other is in Skellige. Both their associated quests are optional. Thus, it's best to complete them before advancing too far into the main questline.
With a population of 30,000, the free city of Novigrad is the cosmopolitan heart of the Northern Kingdoms. Geralt of Rivia's search for his adoptive daughter Ciri brings him here during the events of The Witcher 3, and he finds a city plagued by organised crime, religious zealotry, and bitter class division.
Their are 5 signs - Aard, Quen, Igni, Yarden & Axii. They are all upgradable up to 4 tiers that are unlock-able at certain character levels. The next sign tier is unlocked after investing a certain number of ability points for the upgrades. the Ability Points gained to upgrade the particular sign ability.
In Options -> Video -> HUD Configuration, setting "Undiscovered POIs on Minimap" and "Completed POIs on Minimap" to Off will also remove them from the regular map.
