Director Department of Service Buildings WOODY'S SOUTH ON U.S. RT. 25 AT WEST CARROLLTON MORRELL'S 8 MORR ELL HAM WORLD NEWS Hindus Riot Fifth Day In Punjab NEW DELHI (UPI) -Mobs surged through three Punjab cities in the fifth day of violent communal rioting yesterday.

Hindu nationalists on a burning and looting rampage hurled stones at police who countered with rifle fire killing at least two persons. Reports said police, operating from premiere Indira under tough content, resorted to their guns at both after tear failed to disperse Jullandar City, and Ludhiana the rock extremists protesting government plans to divide their state. The two demonstrators were killed at Jullander City, boosting the death toll to 12, with hundreds more injured. In the Punjab capital of Chandigarh enraged mobs smashed buses and reduced private automobiles to hulks. Firemen attempting extinguish charred, the blazes were beaten back by bricks and clubs.

The personal car of Gov. Ujjal Singh was attacked with stones. Authorities disclosed the mob killed three fellow Hindus one of them a former freedom fighter against the British and the other two prominent members of the ruling Congress party Tuesday night in the normally peaceful town of Panipat, about 55 miles north of here. They were forced into a shop by brick-hurling extremists and burned to death. Mrs.

Gandhi vowed that "'all necessary force will be used to put down this violence" and issued a plea for reason and sanity. In an unprecedented move, she addressed herself to the rioting at a diplomatic reception for visiting Yugoslav Premier Petar Stambolic. She apologized for discussing domestic troubles at such a function and added "but how can I avoid it when my heart is full." In some of the strongest language she has used since becoming premier last January, -Mrs. Gandhi said the rioting "will be crushed." On the opposite end of the troubled country in Calcutta, officials disclosed 37 persons had been killed in hunger rioting last week protesting food rationing. More than 1,300 others arrested.

Violence throughout Punjab state was touched off by government plans -to answer dem ands by Punjabi speaking Sikhs and separate part of it into a Punjabi-speaking state. The Hindi speaking Hindus oppose it and took to the streets in rioting reminiscent of the bloody 1947 communal disorders. HAMS POUND OUR LOWEST SUGAR CURED IN NATURAL EXTRA LEAN BUY NOW FOR EASTER U. Peking Envoys Talk Of Vietnam WARSAW-(UPD-U. S.

Ambassador John A. Gronouski and Red Chinese Ambassador Wang Kuo Chuan yesterday discussed the Vietnam war and other Sino-American issues for three and 10 minutes, with no success. Wang reported "no progress" after the secret meeting in the small, green-and-gilt room on the first floor of the 18th century Myslewicki hunting lodge in central Warsaw park. The meeting was the 129th between representatives of the Washington and Peking governments. In line with the ground rules laid down for the meetingsthe only official contact between the two countries- details of the talks were not disclosed.

Gronouski indicated, however, Vietnam was a major topic. "I can. tell you that Ambassador Wang and I have had a serious talk about the current situation in the Far East. We discussed United States and Chinese views concerning a number of pressing problems," he told reporters. Mans.

The U.S. ambassador had been expected to seek Peking's reaction to the recent state department decision that scholars, like doctors and reporters, now could travel to China if granted Chinese visas. Gronouski refused to comment on the travel question. It was noted, however, that only tweet U.S. reporters have visited China since the ban was lifted in 1957.

But no doctors or public health officials have been granted entry and it was doubted the Chinese would show any more eagerness to issue visas to American scholars. It was the second time Gronouski, who arrived here last Nov. 30, had met with Wang. The meetings began in Geneva in 1955 and moved here three years later.
